Labrador
Retriever Breeders
Before considering the purchase of a puppy you may
want to consider rescuing a dog from a shelter in
addition to learning about some basic health
concerns with Labrador Retrievers. All reputable
breeders test their breeding stock for know problem
and or concerns, such as hip and elbow dysplasia,
also blinding eye defects such as PRA. Some breeders
are also testing for congenital hearts problems and
thyroid function. As much as breeders take
precautions, not everything is preventable, so
please consider pet insurance for this reason. All
C.K.C. registered puppies are entitled to 6 weeks of
pet insurance through Pet Plan Insurance, it is up
to your breeders to sign up the puppies when they
leave the breeders home, ask your breeders about
this program available only with C.K.C. registered
puppies.
